Rahul Soni is an Attorney at Loke Walsh Immigration Law, PC. He provides immigration counsel to corporations, individuals, entertainers, entrepreneurs, universities, research institutions, and families in all aspects of United States Immigration and Nationality Law.
Mr. Soni assists clients with an extensive range of cases, including entertainment, athletics, investor, business, scientific, technological, and academic non-immigrant and immigrant visa petitions, in addition to marriage-based green card petitions, and applications for U.S. citizenship. He is particularly versed in employment-based green card and nonimmigrant visa options, including extraordinary ability and professional occupation petitions.
Mr. Soni has authored numerous articles published by Bender’s Immigration Bulletin, Lexis-Nexis, and various nationally circulated immigration publications on such topics as immigration in Fortune 500 companies, the diversity visa lottery program, and his published article on the groundbreaking overturn of the Defense of Marriage Act and its effects for same-sex couples under U.S. immigration law.
Born and raised in London, United Kingdom, Mr. Soni graduated with honors from The London School of Economics and Political Science in 2009, with a Bachelor of Laws. He subsequently received his Master of Laws degree from the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles, California, graduating as the youngest student in the history of USC’s LL.M. program. While pursuing his Master’s degree, Mr. Soni also served as the Student Bar Association (SBA) Representative for the international LL.M. program.
Mr. Soni is admitted to the State Bar of California, the Supreme Court of California, and the United States District Court Central District of California. He currently serves on the LGBT Liaison Committee for the American Immigration Lawyers Association (Southern California Chapter). He also serves on the Executive Committee for the Beverly Hills Bar Association’s Immigration Section. Mr. Soni is an Active Member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), a Member of the AILA Southern California Chapter, a Barristers Section Member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and a Member of the Beverly Hills Bar Association.
