"Beginning May 8, 2013, the Immigrant Visa Unit will no longer accept walk-in applicants without visa appointments. Applicants with emergency needs (i.e., ageing out cases, visa correction requests, and expiring visas) will be allowed to come in on a case-by-case basis."
