When Applying for ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization), the applicant may receive one of the following possible responses?
- Authorization Approved
- Travel is authorized.
- Travel Not Authorized
- Traveler must obtain a nonimmigrant visa such as a B-1 business or B-2 tourist visa at a U.S. embassy or consulate before traveling to the United States.
- Authorization Pending
- Traveler will need to check the ESTA website for updates within 72 hours to receive a final response. In most cases, a response is provided within a few minutes.
